Spain is the move so many people dream about — more sun, more space, and a life lived a good deal more outdoors. It is also a proper long-haul road move, and that is exactly why it pays to use a crew who runs the corridor rather than someone treating it as a one-off. We start most Spanish moves here in SE London, and collect from across London and the wider UK when a job begins further afield.

Costa or city, mainland or island, the shape is the same: we survey what is moving, put an honest written quote behind it, pack for the distance, and take care of the customs side so the border is a formality rather than a headache.

Where we deliver

Costas, cities and islands

Costa Blanca

Alicante, Torrevieja, Jávea

The expat heartland — a steady stream of moves runs here from SE London every year.

Costa del Sol

Málaga, Marbella, Estepona

The far south, and the longest mainland leg — planned around the run through France and down Spain.

Barcelona & Catalonia

Barcelona, Sitges, Girona

City apartments with lift and permit logistics we sort before the day.

Madrid

The capital and its commuter towns

Inland and central — a job move as often as a lifestyle one.

Valencia

The city and the Costa del Azahar

A growing favourite, and an easy run off the Mediterranean autopista.

The Balearics

Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza

An island move with a ferry leg from the Spanish mainland — we handle the whole chain.

The road down to Spain

We head out of Lewisham on the A20 or A2 to the M25 and down to the Channel, crossing by ferry or tunnel. From there it is a long, steady run through France and over the border into Spain — down the Mediterranean side for the Costa Blanca, Valencia and Barcelona, or across for Madrid and the Costa del Sol. Moving to the Balearics adds a ferry from the mainland, which we build into the plan. Transit time depends on the destination, the crossing and consolidation scheduling; your written quote will include an estimated window rather than a promise we cannot keep.

Customs and Transfer of Residence

Since Brexit, bringing your belongings into Spain means a customs declaration and a detailed, valued inventory. If you are making Spain your main home, Transfer of Residence relief generally lets your used household effects in without import duty — and we help you claim it. We prepare the paperwork; you are never left decoding it on your own.

Spain FAQs

Moving to Spain from the UK — common questions

How does a removal to Spain from Lewisham actually get there?

By road and sea. We leave Lewisham on the A20 or A2 to the M25, cross the Channel by ferry or tunnel, then drive down through France and over the border into Spain. For the Balearics there is an extra ferry leg from the mainland, which we arrange as part of the move.

I am moving personal belongings to Spain after Brexit — what changes?

Your household goods now clear customs entering Spain, so you need a declaration and a detailed, valued inventory. If Spain is becoming your main residence you can usually claim Transfer of Residence relief, bringing your used effects in without import duty. We prepare the paperwork and walk you through the relief — you are not filling in Spanish customs forms alone.

Should I book a part load or a dedicated van to Spain?

For an apartment or a few rooms, a part load sharing space with other Spain-bound moves is usually the sensible call. For a full house, or when you need a fixed door-to-door timetable, a dedicated load fits better. We recommend one over the other after we have surveyed what is moving.

Can you move us to one of the Spanish islands?

Yes. Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza all involve a ferry crossing from the Spanish mainland on top of the road run. We coordinate the whole journey — Lewisham to the coast, across France and Spain, and the island ferry — so it is one move, not three you have to stitch together.
